Voice Lessons...At Your Door

Voice lessons center around the student's passion enthusiasm for learning about the instrument; we want the student to play and learn about the music they are interested in, not in what they "should" learn. The student will select a song or style of music they wish to play during the first three lessons and the instructor will utilize that desire to teach/reinforce the following fundamentals of their instrument using The Alexander Method:

• Parts of the voice
• Anatomical parts of the body involved with singing
• Basic care of the voice
• Breathing
• Tone quality
• Diction
• Scales and scale derivatives
• Reading of basic music notation
• Performance practices
• Listening exercises
• Understanding of basic music theory concepts
