Piano Lessons...At Your Door

Piano lessons center around the student's passion enthusiasm for learning about the instrument; we want the student to play and learn about the music you are interested in, not in what players "should" learn. The student will select a song or style of music they wish to play during the first three lessons and the instructor will utilize that desire to teach/reinforce the following fundamentals of the instrument:

• Parts of the piano
• How the piano works
• Basic care
• Finger positions
• Scales and scale derivatives
• Chords and chord derivatives
• Reading of basic music notation
• Listening exercises
• Understanding of basic music theory concepts

Students who are interested in pursuing a major in Music at an accredited institution are encouraged to inquire at Noteworthy Music about college preparation materials and incorporate those into their lessons. Please email info@noteworthymusic.com for more information on those materials.
